Wicked! centers around two schools, Larkminster Comprehensive, a failing school with deprived children and ruffian gangs, and Bagley Hall, a public school with a growing reputation. Janna Curtis is hired to take over Larks, and she finds it rough going, but works hard to insinuate herself with the kids. She is seduced by Hengist Brett-Taylor, the married headmaster at Bagley, who wants more from Janna than to enjoy her company. He wants a partnership for its tax advantages and proposes joint events between the two schools. He poaches one of Janna's favorite students, who then has a hard time at the more tony school. The kids are caught in the middle, but the fiery Janna is determined to set things right.
